Implementation<\/span> of Hualien County 2019 School Year Primary and Secondary School Principals’ Performance Evaluation Program<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>

\u25cfAbout the Project<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

In accordance with the Primary and Junior High School Act Article 9, Paragraphs 3, local authorities responsible for organizing selection committees shall assess the performance of principals serving at affiliated primary and junior high schools for the consideration of continued employment. This project is based on the Hualien County Elementary and Junior High School Principals’ School Performance Evaluation. Through the evaluation of national elementary and middle schools, we hope to improve the quality of education in Hualien County and protect the learning rights of students.<\/span><\/p>

\u25cf<\/span>Aims and Purposes<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(1) To understand the strengths and weaknesses of the principal’s administrative leadership performance and its causes, to assist the principal in making timely improvements to enhance the principal’s performance, and to provide appropriate in-service training courses and programs to promote his or her professional development.<\/span><\/p>

(2) To assist in solving principals’ resistance and difficulties in school operation, promote educational innovation and progress, motivate principals to improve the quality of school operation, and refine the development of school affairs.<\/span><\/p>

(3) To present the accountability-oriented standards of principals of national elementary and middle schools and county sports senior high schools at the end of their terms of office, so as to serve as a basis for the selection, reappointment, commendation, and dismissal of principals, to select outstanding principals to lead school innovation and development, and to improve the performance and quality of schools.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Vocational high school general courses and art-cluster-specialized school center<\/span><\/h4>

\u00a0\u25cf<\/span>About the Project<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The goal of the school is to assist in the promotion of the curriculum, the in-service training for teachers, and the collection of opinions related to the curriculum for the reference of the revision of the new curriculum, and to establish the professional town of the group subject orientation of the vocational high school through the establishment of the school of the subject-cluster center, and to serve as the cornerstone of the professional development of the curriculum and teaching through the establishment of the special research and development mechanism of various courses. The Center’s annual priorities include developing, collecting and consolidating teaching resources, implementing syllabus training, establishing a consultation and counseling system for subject clusters, enhancing and deepening the information platform, and conducting national professional growth seminars for teachers to enhance their professional knowledge. We also organize project and creative production competitions. The workshops and competitions organized by the Center provide teachers with more practical and innovative teaching methods, which help schools and teachers to plan a more appropriate curriculum for their students. Finally, CERI provides the collective curriculum opinions as the reference for the educational authorities as a basis for curriculum reform, which will lead to better curriculum development and training.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Implementation of High School Actualization Program<\/span><\/h4>

\u25cfAbout the Project<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

There are four goals of this project:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

(1) to promote and energize high school improvement and to assist in the development of high schools actualization and specialties.<\/span><\/p>

(2) to implement the educational objectives of \u2018nurture by nature\u2019 and to develop students’ core competencies.<\/span><\/p>

(3) to strengthen the leading role of specialized pilot schools and to promote the quality of regional high school education.<\/span><\/p>

(4) to balance the development of high school education in different regions and to increase the admission rate of national junior high school graduates to nearby schools and to exempt them from examinations, and to implement the stable development of 12-year basic education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The number of schools assisted by the program has accumulated to 313, accounting for approximately 90.2% of the total number of high school schools in the country; the actual number of participating schools for the 107 school year was 240, accounting for approximately 61.1% of the total number of high school schools in the country. The number of students going on to college through the Star Plan has increased. The average number of teacher\u2019s workshops hours has increased each year. School evaluation results have also improved slightly, and the school’s neighborhood admission rate has remained steady.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
